| 0:00.0 | Today's 10 minute walk is helping both of us remain fitness consistent. |
| 0:07.0 | Hi, I'm Dave. Let's go for a walk. |
| 0:10.0 | Today I'm walking along a wooded trail. |
| 0:15.0 | What I mean by that is I've got trees on both sides of a fairly wide walking path. It is not paved. There's a lot of |
| 0:24.7 | pine needles. You can hear those. And the sun is shining. It is cool. Every now and |
| 0:33.2 | then I'll hear a bird in the distance and also every now and then I'll hear a plane in the distance |
| 0:38.3 | because I'm near the Myrtle Beach International Airport. |
| 0:40.3 | But right now it is a very relaxing, peaceful walk. |
| 0:47.3 | It's not necessarily in the middle of nowhere because this trail isn't very long |
| 0:51.3 | and I can see the end of the wooded trail on either side. |
| 0:57.0 | I see Homes in that direction and then as I turn around and look a little further down the trail I can see cars on a main road. |
| 1:07.0 | And this trail does not take me 10 minutes to walk from end to end. |
| 1:12.2 | So probably more likely as I will turn around and head in the other direction for the full 10 minutes of our walk together. |
| 1:20.2 | But I just wanted to paint the picture of where I'm walking. |
| 1:24.0 | Susan posted something in the start today Facebook group. |
| 1:49.7 | Good morning, everyone. Yesterday I walked 15,591 steps, which equals 5.78 miles. There was an article in Women's Health magazine. How many miles should you walk and both of these got me thinking because I don't think in terms of miles walked since I got my first step |
| 1:57.2 | tracker in January of 2013 which threw gas on my fitness fire it just |
| 2:07.1 | been burning bright ever since and so I always think in terms of steps never |
| 2:14.7 | miles even though a couple of swipes on my step tracker and I can see how many |
| 2:22.4 | miles it is. Reality is I'm used to counting steps. So it's what I'm used to. But I also think |
| 2:31.9 | that steps allow, at least for me, it allowed me to make adjustments, |
| 2:38.7 | increases in something that felt more tangible. |
