So my husband and I have been married for 18 years. We have a separate account. I'm a teacher.

He was a construction manager, a project manager for a long time. Now he's got laid off from two jobs within the past two years,

and now he's self-employed, and he's building a business on his own.

In that process, we had our rental property that we originally lived in when we first got

married.

We had two kids, two family home.

We bought it together after we got married. And we, the down payment was an account that my

husband had. It was $50,000. His dad died when he was around nine years old.

And the mother put all of the father's social security checks into an account to help it grow.

And that's what he wanted to use that account for to put the down payment on that house.

Then we remodeled it with our wedding money.
