We have this messed up thing that we do in our society, in our culture, that says, you know,

if something takes a lot of effort, then it's valuable.

But what about all those good old easy wins, those blessings, those miracles,

those wonderful things that happen all the time? We tend to just brush those off, think they're not

special because it's not hard. Because it's not hard, it's not meaningful. Am I right? Hard means hard. Hard

means respect. It means effort. It means you did something good.

I completely flip this in my head, in my mind. Just because you finish something quickly and you have

that thought, gosh, it should have taken longer, you know what that's really telling you? You're really

capable and speedy and bright.

Maybe you find a simple shortcut to something. Congratulations. Where does the complicated option

need to come into this in order for you to feel worthy of an awesome result?

Whenever you make progress, just because it's easy, do you think, oh, that wasn't very special.
