we've been programmed to believe that happiness is an island we have to swim to

that if we don't get there if we don't reach that perfect house the dream job the right

relationship will never be happy this was what I believed for half of my life,

always trying to swim towards something. And then if I got there, then I would be happy. Right. That's what I believed.

And I swam for many, many years to this kind of mirage island.

And I never got there.

I feel like I drowned halfway.

I feel like I saw an island because that was what was sold to me.
