0:00.0	Hey, girlfriend, how are you? Welcome to the Girlfriend's podcast. Thrilled you are here. A little bit of a
0:05.9	different show for you here today, a little bit going out of our routine because my plans got
0:12.0	disrupted last week. So this week's episode was supposed to be an interview featuring Megan Helmsted,
0:17.9	who's the new author of a great book about redemptive suffering.
0:21.5	But I was supposed to record that interview last week. And when it came time to record it,
0:26.5	I had no voice. So sometimes God intervenes in our plans in that way. I was like,
0:31.8	I don't think I'm going to be able to pull this off. I had a cold that led to a sinus infection.
0:40.3	And little side note here, when I had that sinus infection, I was just focused on getting my work done because Dan and I were going to be
0:46.2	taking a quick trip to Florida for two of our kids graduating college. It's so exciting, so fun
0:51.0	to be able to attend that special event. In the days leading up to it, I was taking
0:54.8	time off from work. I had many things to put into place here at the house. So I was just super
0:59.4	focused on getting everything done. I know you go into this mode too before a trip. I know you
1:03.7	understand it. So I was just super focused on that. And I was feeling sicker and just ignoring
1:09.2	it. I had the slight fever. I was coughing. I was congested.
1:13.3	I was having trouble sleeping. And Dan just stopped me, like in the middle of doing something,
1:18.3	one of those afternoons. I think it was actually the day before we left for our trip.
1:22.7	He just stopped me. And he's like, you need to stop everything you're doing right now and just call
1:27.1	the doctor so that you can get
1:29.1	an antibiotic because you have a sinus infection. And it was so funny because it hadn't occurred to me to do that.
1:36.4	I hadn't even thought about it. He was like, you're going to be miserable. You're going to have a
1:39.7	miserable trip. You won't enjoy any of it because you're sick and you need to get that taken care of before we
1:44.5	leave. And I just love this. I love this gift of men. I love this particular gift of Dan in my life that
