This morning at church, our pastor asked us to pray a prayer. That's a really simple prayer, but really powerful prayer. I'm going to ask you to pray the same prayer. Many of you know my pastor. His name's Caleb. He's been on this podcast many, many times. He's part of the dad tired leadership here, and he spoke at our retreats. But he asked us as a congregation before we took communion to ask ourselves or to pray this prayer. And again, it's a prayer that I want you to pray as we start today's episode. And we will actually end with the same prayer at the end of this episode. So I just kind of want you to kind of pray it now and then tuck it away in the back of your mind for at the end of this episode. But he asked us to pray, God, is there anything in my life that

grieves you? Is there anything Holy Spirit that grieves you in my life right now? And the goal of

this prayer is to kind of conjure up anything in you, any sin in you. This comes from Psalms,

Lord, search me and know my ways, see if there would be any wicked ways in me, any evil in me. And this is the prayer I want

you to pray as we get started today, is to really ask yourself, God, is there anything in me

that offends you? Is there anything evil in me? Is there anything wicked in me that you wouldn't

be happy with? Knowing that God as a good father does correct and he does discipline and it's always out of love

because he loves you so much he has better for you whatever you're currently chasing after today

or this week your job sin affirmation whatever you think is going to fill your tank today

many times it will it will remind us this prayer will remind us to repent and say, God, I'm

chasing after all kinds of things that aren't of you. And so, Lord, is there anything brisk,

bring to mind, anything that grieves you, Holy Spirit, that I need to repent of? And so that's the

mindset. I would ask you to even pray that now as you're, whatever you're doing as you're listening

to this podcast. Just pray that prayer in your heart quietly as we, as we jump in. I know so many guys

feel like the Lord is preparing you for something more and you don't really know what it is. We

talked about this a little bit last week and the week before. It's like there's kind of this

moment happening where there's a

high motivation to do more to like, not just behave better, which we've talked about for years at

dad's higher, but not just like get kind of get my behavior in order. But it seems like God is

stirring my heart towards something bigger. And I feel it and so many guys feel it, and yet we don't actually

know what to do. And so we talked a little bit last week about what are some ways that we can

grow up in discipleship, to become the man that God has called us to be, to mature in our faith.
