As he flaps his wings and sets out into the mountainous landscape, he cries three times in succession,

sometimes triumphant and other times a bit more alarmed, like a cry for help.

When he cries those three calls, his parent, flying high above him, swoops down to nurture his confidence.

It makes me think,

though when all is well,

we carry on with our lives,

maybe a few calls for God here and there,

always learning and discovering our oneness with him.

But when we get scared or hit trouble, like that baby buzzard,

we cry a little louder, knowing our trust in a loving Father-Mother God will immediately bring

help. This healed me when I had been afraid.

Quietly, deeply, I asked God, who is divine love, for help.

Reassured by a peaceful sense of loves, all embracing care, the fear left and I was able to carry on

with my day. Christ Jesus taught us about asking God for help when he said in Luke in the Bible. Ask, and it shall be given you.

Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. I think Jesus wanted to reassure us that whatever we are seeking through prayer,

whether it's a physical healing or a change in the way we've been thinking about something,

we can be confident that God's all-loving parenting will lead us to find what we need. Confidence,

progress, an answer. Because in truth, as God's spiritual creation, we already are complete, having everything we need.
