| 0:19.4 | We looked yesterday at Romans chapter 1 versus 16 and 17 where the apostle Paul states very boldly |

| 0:44.0 | so that we can then express faith in his actions on our behalf |
| 0:49.0 | and receive forgiveness and new life and transformation. |
| 0:54.7 | Those things sound like such religious concepts. |
| 0:57.6 | They sound like such ethereal and theological things. But my friends, it makes perfect sense when you stop to think about it. |
| 1:07.6 | When a holy God gives commands, he does so, both for the good of those he's giving the command to and to |
| 1:17.8 | bring about the greatest amount of glory for himself. You see because when God looks more glorious, we human beings are |
| 1:27.1 | drawn to him because he is glorious. It's like looking at the Grand Canyon |
| 1:32.0 | or the ocean or Devil's Tower up at Wyoming. |
| 1:35.5 | When you see it, you just stop and you stare. |
| 1:39.0 | And there's this wondrous thing that happens in your soul when you're overtaken by awe in that manner. |
| 1:45.9 | And we weren't drawn to the God of the universe in that way because we see Him with eyes filled |
| 1:51.7 | with wonder and a heart that's just overflowing with awe. |
| 1:57.8 | We change. |
| 1:59.8 | We are transformed because we're seeing the goodness and the wisdom and the incredible |
| 2:04.3 | awesomeness that he is and we're drawn to him. You see and that's what it means |
