| 0:07.6 | to get our minds aligned with the truth of God and I have a question for you this |
| 0:12.3 | morning as we start out, who are you compared to God? |
| 0:18.0 | I don't know if you've ever thought about that question at least in those words, but it's important for us to stop |
| 0:25.4 | and assess that very issue this morning. |
| 0:30.7 | Because we are about to dive in to the meat of the book of Romans, beginning in |
| 0:35.8 | verse 18 of chapter 1 and there is a foundational mindset that we need to have in place as we do so. |
| 0:46.4 | Because if we go into it without this foundational mindset, |
| 0:49.6 | there will be a lot of the meaning |
| 0:52.0 | that the Apostle Paul wants us to get that we will entirely miss because |
| 0:57.5 | we're approaching his teaching from the wrong perspective. |
| 1:03.0 | So let's go back to that question. |
| 1:05.6 | Who are you compared to God? |
| 1:09.7 | Now some of the answer to that question is fairly obvious. |
| 1:14.3 | I am a human being, he is God. |
| 1:17.6 | But what does that really mean? |
| 1:20.0 | Well, first of all, it means, I am a creature. |
| 1:23.7 | He is the Creator. |
| 1:25.5 | You see, he's the one who made me. |
| 1:28.7 | He's the one who placed me on the planet. |
| 1:31.8 | He's the one who had an intention and a purpose in creating me. |
| 1:36.8 | You see you and I are like a work of art or a masterpiece or even a mechanical device. |
