Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you are ready to

get your mind aligned with the truth of God. I want to ask you a question here at the outset, can you remember a time in your life

when you really struggle with confidence? I mean, the lack of confidence maybe is a better way to say that. I remember all through my growing

up years I was the youngest of five and I didn't grow up with all of my siblings who are immediately around me because of a big age

gap in the middle. But I did grow up with an older brother who was not quite two years older

than me. And Brad if you're listening, hey good to see you Bob.

And you know the thing being the younger sibling is you often grow up feeling like you have

to live up to what you perceive to be true of your sibling.

And there's confidence issues that come up.

Now I know confidence issues aren't only exclusive

to younger siblings. We all struggle with confidence at various times. You

may be in a place in your life right now where you're struggling with

confidence. And I'm bringing up the issue because I want us to see from the scriptures today that our confidence as

believers in Jesus Christ is not based in anything other than our identity as sons or daughters of God.

There's nothing else.

It's not performance, it's not the way that we live or the people we are around or even the job that we do in our

vocation that gives us confidence not ultimately it's who we are as sons and

daughters of God.
