We have a touch of summer here.

So the subject that we have set for this morning,

sounds kind of cool.

Your light shining has been adapted from the Ashtavakra Gita.

The Ashtavakra Gita, as many of us we are aware of it,

it's probably the most radical text of non-dualism,

Adwaita Vedant.

It was the book which Sri Ramakrishna recommended to

Swami Vivek Anandha, and Swami Vivekananda read it and he was not impressed. He said,

what nonsense? The cups and plates are God, the doors and windows are God and everything is God.

Where the masters, those who wrote these books, were they crazy?

Sriramakrishna, of course, touched Vivekananda, Narendranath,

and he had this experience of one consciousness, one undivided consciousness everywhere.

It was a vivid experience, a living experience which persisted for several days.

And it was the same Vivekananda who mocked the Ashdavakra teachings, who would come to this

country and say that Christ's and Buddhas were waves of the ocean that I am. I am, it's not
