open up Instagram or Facebook or TikTok or YouTube and start scrolling like you usually do.

But right now you're just doing it more aware. You're doing it consciously. Just scroll.

Don't let anything hook you though. Just scroll and observe. Watch that thumb. Watch that hand. Watch that thumb.

Watch that hand.

Watch that phone.

See the scene behind it.

Is it a rug?

Is it a floor?

Is it a wall?

Bring it up, though,

so that body's neck

isn't doing that tech neck thing.

Feels weird

and even more conscious

to have the phone up at eye level.

But that's the character with the tech neck and the weird awkward feeling of having a phone at eye level, that hand,

that thumb, that's not yours. That phone is not yours. That's not your feed. It's not your

algorithm. That's the character. And you don't

have to participate. You don't have to give attention to this. Watch as that character continues to

scroll that you can become aware of what you are, that love has announced itself.

While the scrolling is happening, which makes the scrolling a lot less interesting,

it is beginning to eclipse the scroll.
