People who have in quite blunt terms told me how the mourning mindset has changed their lives.

I'm just so humbled by that.

All I know to do is open God's word and teach it.

And I'm just thankful that God is using the power of his word to change lives.

Honestly, that's what keeps me doing this is to know that it's helping people.

All right, let's move on into our passage for today.

You know, here in the United States we just finished up the

holiday if you want to call it a holiday called Halloween and without getting into all the history

behind the holiday and how it came about. I just want to make

some interesting observations about the way the holiday is practiced in the United States.

You see, it seems like more and more all the time people are getting into the practice of

decorating your yards, their houses, their cars, all kinds of things for Halloween and

most of the time it is ghoulish, gross, dead oriented sort of decor, you know, skeletons

and that sort of thing, skulls and bats and witches and that kind of thing.

And I find it fascinating that human beings

will take a beautiful thing like life after death
