Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio. We are now officially in the roaring 20s and the feelings of optimism are already

sweeping through the nation. Literally two days ago we were into 2019. We're now into 2020. And the

outlook already looks far rosier than it did just a few short weeks ago. Parliament returns

next week with a government that has a clear mandate for change, not just over Europe, but in

reform of the civil service, recruitment for the armed forces, an injection of funding up and down

the country. All Boris Johnson has to do now is make it all work.

And you'll never have a better opportunity.

But has there been a couple of trap doors set for him?

Will he be able to get what he wants?

And will we all still be talking as optimistically now as we will be in about a year's time?

We're going to have another positive show today, focusing on what we need to achieve in this new year.
