He may have been hundreds of miles away, but the US President Donald Trump cast a long shadow over Prime Minister's questions.

With pronouncements on taking over Greenland and condemnation of the UK's Chegos Islands deal, Donald Trump had already created

plenty of political turbulence and it was only Wednesday. As everyone waited for the US President

to arrive at the World Economic Forum in the Swiss

City of Davos, the Conservative leader, Kemi Badenock, wanted to know how Sekeir Stama's

recent chats with Donald Trump had gone.

The Prime Minister and I agree.

The future of Greenland should only be decided by the people of Greenland.

When the Prime Minister made this point to President Trump on Monday, did the President

agree or disagree?

Donald Trump reckons if he doesn't take control of Greenland, Russia or China will.

And he'd left European leaders aghast with a threat to slap whacking taxes on countries,

including the UK, that don't support his plan.

Kier Stama said the future of Greenland was for it and Denmark to decide,

and that threat of trade tariffs was completely wrong,

and he beefed up his language to say so.

I will not yield.

Britain will not yield on our principles and values

about the future of Greenland under threats of tariffs.
