We'd like to get right into it and what we're going to get into today is the issue of people

crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally and what that means. I mean the bottom line

of the whole podcast is yes illegal border crossers are breaking the law okay.

I did a podcast oh gosh about a week and a half ago talking about the mass hysteria

that broke out with those 48 Venezuelan illegal border crossers who ended up in Martha's

Vineyard on a flight orchestrated by the Republican governor Florida, Rhonda Sannis okay.

So I wrote also a newsletter on the same subject and I tweeted this. I'm going to read my tweet

quote problem with the Martha's Vineyard freak out is that the debate ignores the real problem.

We're talking about how to accommodate illegal border crossers once they are in the country

and not about how to prevent people from crossing illegally into the United States.

Okay it seemed kind of common sense to me but it's set off a wave of indignant reaction.

I had referred to the people who are crossing the border illegally as illegal border crossers

and many respondents on Twitter said they are most definitely not illegal so I'm going to read
