Hello there, my name is Ryan and I make music under the name Sleeping at Last and this is the Sleeping at Last podcast

Time is very weird and as it moves on it apparently only gets weirder

I genuinely cannot believe that my yearbook project is now 10 years old

A solid decade and that just completely blows my mind on one hand it feels like I wrote these 36 songs

Maybe two years ago, but on the other hand, it feels like a hundred years ago kind of feels right

So in any case this collection of songs reached its double digits birthday and I'm celebrating

It's very possible that you have no idea what I am even talking about when I talk about your book

So the idea for your book was fairly simple 10 years ago

I wanted to challenge myself to writing as many songs as I possibly could in a single year and put them out into the world

And so I decided that three new songs each month for a year would would pretty much do the trick

That's 36 songs in total and I figured that if I couldn't do it if I failed fell, you know, miserably

Flat on my face at the very least I'd become a better songwriter for trying and if I could actually do it and finish all 36 songs within a year
