Hey, this is Durey and welcome to Pots of the People.

This is a best-up episode.

Some of the best compilations of all the stuff that you've heard this past season as we

go into long season two.

Now my word for this week is make the big ask.

I was just with a group of people this weekend and I had an idea and a vision and when I got

around them, I was like, you know, maybe this is too intense, maybe this ask is too big,

but I went in and I made the ask that was like the honest ask, it was big, it's about

a big project and they actually responded really favorably to it.

And I had to remind myself, like, not to downplay our best ideas and our biggest ideas because

they seemed to grand that you got to make the big ask.

I cannot believe we've been doing the pod for a whole year.

I still remember getting that text message from Durey saying, do you want to come read

the news and talk about it with me?

I was like, maybe, what are we doing?

What are you talking about?

And what developed was really an exciting way, I think, for us to add perspective to a conversation

that so often leaves voices like ours out, that so often leaves perspectives and values,

like the ones of the people that we try our best to represent and bring into the conversation

out of the conversation.

And so I am so thankful to you all for continuing to listen to us.
