Summary

This week I’m honoured to be joined again by economist and politician Yanis Varoufakis. Yanis served as the Greek Minister of Finance for the first half of 2015, and in February of the following year launched the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025  (DiEM25). He is an incredible voice on The Left who fights with passion for a better and more fair world. I wished to speak with Yanis in light of the current conflict in Ukraine. I wanted to know what insight Yanis might have on the types of resolutions that could be proposed, his opinion on what is happening, and why it’s happening, and what we need to do going forward. It’s a very important and moving conversation and I would like to hear your thoughts on it, too.

All right, listen, here is some comments on the Jimmy Dore episode, which we very much enjoyed.

0:26.0

It was a very successful episode for us. We're very happy with it. Love Jimmy Dore.

0:29.4

Leon Martell says, everyone who watches Jimmy in Russell, you know you're on the right side of

0:32.9

history. You can just feel it. Thanks, JB Charm. I'm a conservative by enjoying watching Jimmy because

0:37.8

he gets it. He will reach an issue and tell you the truth even if it's to his own detriment because

0:42.6

in the end, the truth knows no political affiliation. Yeah. Jimmy has the stones to say things. I'm

0:48.0

going to do this in American accent. Jimmy has the stones to say things that everybody is afraid to

0:53.1

speak about for the fear of alienation, demonization, demonetization and cancellation. Even the

0:59.2

no, I don't agree with somebody's more liberal policies. They still respect the fact that he speaks

1:03.2

the truth on a lot of important topics. If conservatives, liberals, independents and libertarians come

1:09.0

together and focus more on what we have in common as opposed to what we don't, I think this world

1:13.6

would be a much better place. And that's from JB Charm. And I agree with you, JB Charm, particularly

1:19.7

this idea of coming together. Maybe we need to start abandoning these labels, because I'm not

1:24.1

really helping you. I'm sorry. I was saying maybe we should start abandoning.

1:27.7

Should we start abandoning? I'm actually abandoning, but I hope we just start abandoning.

1:34.7

That was bad. Hardly any time later that I went, maybe we should start abandoning.

1:39.6

No, but I'm saying long before an in. I'm listening to this podcast and it's like I hear what you say

1:45.6

before you say it. Because I'm saying start abandoning. I replied too quickly to your questions.
