Welcome, welcome, welcome. This is the distraction pieces podcast episode 358 and I've been teasing you for a minute that I've got a bit of an exciting special one coming up.

And it's here. I recorded this a few weeks back. We explain it in the podcast, but whenever we can at Christmas, myself, polar bear and Kate, I'm pissed.

Meet up and have have a drink, have Christmas drinks and catch up on the year reflect on the year a bit because back in the day, we used to see each other all the time. That's spoken workings.

But then our careers went on different paths and obviously this year everything went on a different path. So I did a post about the tour that we did.

And a load of people were asking about Kate coming on to talk about her her announcement with this year of changing her pronouns.

We talk about all of that. And I thought and I hit K up about potentially coming on and then I just as soon as I sent out, hang on.

Why don't we all just come back on or come on because polar has been on before as well and just have a nice catch up and also do some reminiscing about that tour that we all did together.

So that's what this is. I split into two parts part one you're listening to now part two will be out of Friday now. I know often with the two partners. I do them midnight and midday on the same day, but I think you'll hear these.

This feels like such a special conversation. I might be biased because they're two of my best pals, but this feels like a special conversation and I wanted to give each part time to breathe.

I'm really happy to be here with you to me to it's lovely in it. This kind of came came about because I posted a poster from the spoken word tool. We did like eight years ago seven or eight years ago. And it got me thinking that we try when we can to meet up and have a Christmas drink the three of us and

this will be a bit different because a good chunk of that Christmas drink is often moaning about people in the spoken word industry that we don't like. So that'll be raining. I've never done that.

That'll be raining slightly. But in reality, we only end up getting to do it every few years. You know, because of lives and all that coming. But I thought it'd be good to do it over zoom this year and make a little podcast of it. So I'm glad the two of you were up for it and they're available.
