Hey everybody, this is Rob Leifeld. Welcome to Rob Observations. Robeservations is the show

that jams it all up with comic books, cartoons, pop cultures, toys, record albums, everything

that involves the storytelling of the mythological comic book superheroes, of my youth, of your youth, of everybody's existence

now because that's basically what our lives have turned into is the consumption, the consuming

of these larger-than-life superheroes that I was pulling off spinner racks, Yes, spinner racks, those beautiful metal racks

that had that had 10 slots on each side, four sides, all total held 40 comic books. You

spun it around. You grab the comics. You love the comics. You watch the comics become

toys. Nowadays, movies, streaming, cartoons. They're everywhere.

There's no stopping it. I love it. It's it's, it's, it's, it's, it's the existence I would

have imagined for myself. And, and here we are. Today's episode, we are jumping right into

a topic that I can never get enough of. It's a multiple jamming up of a couple different

topics. One is the X-Men, okay? The X-Men, which were the number one best-selling comic book

for 20 straight years. 20 straight years. The X-Men, year-in, year-out, became the most dependable, dynamic, popular,

best-selling line of comic books. Ironically, it started out small, it stayed small for the

very, the longest time. For me, when the X-Men were at its very best, was when it stood

alone. Now, you can't, you know, have something that successful and not eventually at least attempt

to try and, you know, spin it off and expand it.

And they did.

And more power to them.

They waited as long as they could.

And when they did, they did it with really great talent. And if they hadn't,
