You know, when you think of hole number 16 for Wyndham Clark, his drive goes into the Fescue, he's got to hack it out of there. And he hacks it out of there. You and I have been in that same spot, by the way. I think you put it in the trap, and I think I put it in the front of the trap. And we either have probably taken eights on that hole. But, you know, given all the things that were going on around him, the negative things going on around him, which is still, I still can't believe it that, you know,

a year later from him blowing up in a locker room and basically apologizing profusely for it

over the last eight months, nine months even, paying for, you know, the refurbishments of what he

did. And I don't even know how bad it really was at

Oakmont, but the fact that people were holding this against him, I think, as opposed to

holding it against him, I think they wanted Scotty Schaeffler to win. That's what I was going

to say. It wasn't just the locker room incident. There was a couple things. One, the Scotty Father's Day, 30th birthday, completing the Grand Slam. People wanted to see that live. And then also, they were bored with the fact that he was running away with it. So they wanted, they were rooting against him to have some juice in this U.S. Open. Yeah, I know. It's just, it's just not really what a major is supposed to be. You know, that's, that's the whole thing. And they were throwing some guys out who probably couldn't hit a goddamn golf ball. They saved their life, their life depended on it. But yeah, it was, I actually thought it was interesting because these guys are so good. And every week we see minus 19, minus 15, minus 21 winning these golf tournaments.

And this is supposed to be a tough golf tournament.

And it was.

And the win played a significant part.

It was everything that if you've ever played there or you live here and you know about this golf course and obviously

the historians know all about the golf course uh it played exactly the way the usGA wanted it to play

it was a tough uh really really tough uh place to play and what was interesting especially not so much

yesterday but saturday the amount of putts that were being missed you know

I mean and even on Friday within five feet these guys are usually pretty much money and the amount of

putts that would just just off and that goes to show you that no matter how far you hit the ball

it really comes down to the greens and the the Greens protected themselves tremendously in this particular tournament.

And listening to Wyndham Clark talk about it after the round was over.

I was really stoked for him, very happy for him.

And then the fact that his dad flew it on the red eye to be there yesterday

on Father's Day was like kind of the icing on the cake.

Yeah. And I want that guy who called up and said I was a mush and I had old losing picks
