This evening, we are returning to Wuthering Heights. But before that,

let's take some time here to relax and breathe. Inhale through your nose and as you exhale imagine a beautiful autumnal tree above you

and a leaf falling slowly, gracefully, unhurried.

Continue this breath and each time you exhale, another leap drifts down, carrying away

the thoughts and tensions of the day.

Watch them gather beneath you, golden and waitless, until the ground is covered in quiet release.

When the last leaf settles, breathe deeply once more, and come to rest in the stillness beneath the tree.

Calm, complete and safe.

Isabella had been away for two months, and Kathy was slowly recovering from a severe brain fever,

as it had been diagnosed. Edgar had received a letter from his sister, but had not replied, and it was a couple of

weeks later where Nellie received one too.

Isabella had arrived at Wuthering Heights with Heathcliff. She had been left alone at the kitchen

door, threatened by Harriton and his dog, and insulted by Joseph.

She found Earnshaw frantically pacing for hours in a large, dimly lit room, and Isabella was afraid to disturb him. When asked to be taken to a chamber,

Earnshaw told her to find Joseph and tell him to take her to Heathcliff's room, but to always lock

the door behind her,
