The downcratic convention is underway, but we are going to set that aside for a moment

and talk about the postal service, uh, which is in the news lately, uh, but also at least

as as I understand it, a lot of the things that people are talking about right now are

actually sort of longer standing postal issues that have collided with some of the short

term concerns.

So one of the things people do with the postal service is a male vote by male ballots.

And one of the things that's happened during the pandemic is that there has been a great

deal of increased interest in expanding vote by male options so that people don't need

to go to polling places in person a little bit oddly.

This kind of turned into a fairly sharply partisan dispute for I'm not sure actually like

good cynical reasons, but that's the road.

You know, like a good cynical reason would be that vote by male clearly helps Democrats,

which I don't actually think is that well established as a factual matter, but it seems

to be what Trump thinks.

And so he's been discouraging vote by male Republicans have been opposing legislative efforts

to expand it.

And so then when Trump's appointees to run the postal service started doing things that

are raising the question of whether ballots will be mailed out to people in time, whether
