All About Crime. I'm Mama Jules, and we have three stories and one update to a case that I brought you back in November. So first, I got all worked up over a video of a defense attorney and her opening

statement. I'll share that with you on our first case. Then we've got a very small town mayor

who fires his entire police force in Georgia. Then some breaking news about a death at the Denver

airport. And finally, the update, the sentencing of

Anthony Milan Ross in Arizona. So let's get started. The case of Washington State Patrol trooper

Christopher Gadd's death landed on my radar while I was researching a different case. And although

it was settled a few months back, I still

wanted to bring it to you. Not because the story of his death was, you know, that outrageous,

because being a state trooper is dangerous, especially during the act of pulling someone over

or patrolling on a highway. But what really drew me was the opening statement by the defense attorney

in the trial for Trooper Gad's death. I was shocked by the claims of defense attorney Emily Hancock

that occurred last year at trial, and so I just had to bring it to you today, mostly to say,

we have to stop claiming intentional actions are mere accidents.

So who is Christopher Gad? Christopher was a local kid. Born in 1996, he grew up in the Kent

Washington area. He had served in the Army National Guard, was an EMT and firefighter, and truly a man who possessed a servant heart,
