I'm Charlotte McDonald and this week a whole in one on the golf course. That's rare, isn't it?

Well, just to get a quick taser, I thought I'd do something anecdotal,

unscientific,

and so I called up the golf course closest to where I live.

Oh, hello, it's just Charlotte calling from the BBC.

Hi Josh.

Hello Charlotte, perfect timing.

This is Josh. He's the membership and golf

operations manager there and I started by asking him how rare holes in one were at

the club. Really quite rare I mean we have probably anywhere between 10 to 15 whole and ones per year and when you think that people play

over sort of 15,000 rounds of golf over the course of the year.

Yeah, so rare, rare.

Very rare, yeah.
