Well, I think that reluctant writers benefit a great deal from expressive writing. I think of one of the

experiments with engineers who were laid off, all men in their mid-50s who had been laid off,

and they were very bitter about losing their jobs.

And because they were computer engineers,

they really did not spend much time writing

and did not have what I would call an affinity for writing.

But the guys who participated found jobs twice as fast

as the guys who did not write at all.
