Edith here with another episode of my weekly podcast soundtracking.

It's been a busy old week of it.

I was on bike riders duty this week ahead of the film's release coming out 21st of June,

which is what we're going to be talking about on the podcast today.

It was wonderful to celebrate the film, both with a gala screening and then director, Jeff

Nichols, joined me for a really lovely in conversation at our Everyman Soundtrack and Film Club.

And then I was on Bridgeton duties.

Now, I'm going to be completely transparent with you and that up until I was asked to host

this event, I hadn't had the time to dive into Bridgeton, so I power watched it.

I was watching Bridgeton at every opportunity in the bath on the train, making dinner,

and caught up ahead of the launch of Season 3, Part 2.

But I had an amazing time chatting to the cast who are just joyful at this

fantastic premiere that we had in London this week. So yeah, it's been a busy week. So apologies

if I'm a little bit kind of hoarse and gruelly today. But as I said, our latest guest on

soundtracking is the wonderful Jeff Nichols, who joins us to discuss

his brilliant new film, The Bike Riders.

Jeff's been on the podcast before.

The last film that he was on to talk about was Loving, which starred Ruth Neger and Joel Edgerton.

And that's a few years back.

But obviously the films that he's most famous for,

things like Mad Midnight Special, just brilliant storyteller. Bike riders is inspired by a book
