Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive into Genesis 5, verses 22 through 24.

At the beginning of the Bible, you'll find a name you're probably familiar with, Enic.

These verses say, and Enoch lived 60 and five years and begat Methuselah.

And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah 300 years, and begat sons and daughters.

And all the days of Enoch were 360 and five years.

And Enoch walked with God, and he was not,

for God took him. And that's it. That is the entire story of Enoch in the Old Testament.

But from the Pearl of Great Price, we know that Enoch did so much more.

Enoch was a prophet called by God. Enoch found that as he spoke, he was so filled with power that the people

trembled and couldn't stand in his presence. As he gathered converts, their enemies would come against

them to battle, but Enoch would move mountains and rivers of water to defend his people. Enich gathered

his people into a city, and they became so righteous that they were translated and taken

into heaven. Why are these details missing from the Bible? From Latter-day Revelation, we know that

some Old Testament records are missing or incorrectly translated. But because of these clerical errors,

billions of people don't know Enix's powerful story. Which makes me wonder, how careful are you and I

in keeping our records? Do we have stories worth telling? And if so, where are they written? And how are we

making sure they'll be passed down? I know I have some work to do to ensure that my personal history

isn't lost because of my own clerical errors.

So the takeaway of the day in five words or less is, write your amazing story.
