| 0:00.0 | Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me podcast. |
| 0:05.0 | We are your host, Kristen Walker Smith and Kelly Black. |
| 0:09.0 | Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive into Genesis 5, verses 22 through 24. |
| 0:16.0 | At the beginning of the Bible, you'll find a name you're probably familiar with, Enic. |
| 0:22.0 | These verses say, and Enoch lived 60 and five years and begat Methuselah. |
| 0:27.2 | And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah 300 years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 0:33.2 | And all the days of Enoch were 360 and five years. |
| 0:36.9 | And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, |
| 0:39.2 | for God took him. And that's it. That is the entire story of Enoch in the Old Testament. |
| 0:45.1 | But from the Pearl of Great Price, we know that Enoch did so much more. |
| 0:49.7 | Enoch was a prophet called by God. Enoch found that as he spoke, he was so filled with power that the people |
| 0:56.1 | trembled and couldn't stand in his presence. As he gathered converts, their enemies would come against |
| 1:01.1 | them to battle, but Enoch would move mountains and rivers of water to defend his people. Enich gathered |
| 1:07.2 | his people into a city, and they became so righteous that they were translated and taken |
| 1:11.8 | into heaven. Why are these details missing from the Bible? From Latter-day Revelation, we know that |
| 1:17.5 | some Old Testament records are missing or incorrectly translated. But because of these clerical errors, |
| 1:24.1 | billions of people don't know Enix's powerful story. Which makes me wonder, how careful are you and I |
| 1:30.9 | in keeping our records? Do we have stories worth telling? And if so, where are they written? And how are we |
| 1:36.8 | making sure they'll be passed down? I know I have some work to do to ensure that my personal history |
| 1:42.2 | isn't lost because of my own clerical errors. |
| 1:45.7 | So the takeaway of the day in five words or less is, write your amazing story. |
| 1:51.5 | Thanks so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ with me one minute at a time. |
