The Gospel is the good news of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ,

but it is only good news to those who hear it.

Every believer is to go with the Gospel.

Today, we study with Scott Pauling what God's Word teaches about becoming a more

effective witness for Christ.

I love the fact that the Lord Jesus always met people right where they were.

He did not expect them to understand everything initially or even to accept everything initially.

He came to them. He came to you. He came to me. And that's exactly what we see in John chapter 3.

And someone's going to say, well, Nicodemus came to Jesus by night to have a conversation.

And while that's true, someone may say Nicodemus was a man who is seeking.

The Bible says there really is none that seeketh after God.

No, really, God seeks after us.

Remember, he came to seek and to save that which was lost. If God had not already

worked in the heart of Nicodemus and prepared him, if the Lord by his spirit had not been drawing this man,

he never would have come with these questions. Something had already pricked his conscience.

Something had already awakened his heart. That's what the Lord does.

You see, he comes to where we are.

He initiates.

Remember what Jonah said, salvation is of the Lord.

Now, this is true.
