0:11.3	vows it, and yet sacrifice is to the Lord what is blemished. For I am a great king,
0:16.4	says the Lord of hosts, and my name will be feared among the nations on a picture of God,
0:22.6	inditing his people for offering a sacrifice to him that was not worthy of him for thinking they
0:31.5	could deceive God. The picture is an animal in a house that is a fit sacrifice. What God has
0:38.1	prescribed in the Old Testament, and someone says, I vow I will sacrifice this animal. And yet
0:44.4	instead sacrifices a blemished animal that would be more convenient for them to sacrifice,
0:52.3	less costly for them to sacrifice. And God basically says, who are you worshiping? I'm a great
0:59.6	king, says the Lord of hosts, and my name will be feared among the nations. God is worthy, not of
1:07.3	convenient sacrifices that work well for you. God is worthy of costly sacrifices that express
1:15.9	honor and fear and glory to his name. Can I say that again and just make sure we make the connection.
1:23.7	Obviously we don't offer animal sacrifices in the same way as we see in the Old Testament.
1:30.1	But think Romans 12, verse 1, therefore in view of God's mercy, let us offer to him our bodies
1:37.5	as a living sacrifice. Holy and acceptable to him for this is your spiritual act of worship.
1:46.4	God, by his mercy in our lives, calls us to present our bodies like not an animal, us, everything
1:54.4	we are and everything we have. There's nothing more costly than this to us, ourselves on the altar
2:02.2	as a living sacrifice. And yet, aren't we prone to only offer to God that which is convenient for us
2:10.6	to offer to God? That which is not costly to us, we are all tempted every day. And especially when
2:18.7	we think about cultural Christianity to offer God that which is comfortable for us, church attendance,
2:25.3	maybe read the Bible, some pray, give some money and make some sacrifices in our lives, small here
2:34.0	there. But what has God called us to give him in worship? Everything, everything we have, everything
