bumps and groans in the background. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, the people that I have

living under the stairs are escaping the bondage that I have put them in. Personally, I thought I really got the motherfuckers in there this time,

but the human will. It is indomitable, no matter what you try and breed out of them.

Anyway, there's construction going on up and down the street,

so you're going to hear things because I can't believe it.

They knocked on my door on the 29th of December and they said,

Happy New Year.

We're going to put a backhoe in front of your yard and you're not going to be able to get your car out for a couple of days.

And I went, what?

So like, I've been trying to not record this while you're going

to hear the background noises, but fuck it, you are. And in that tradition, happy new year.

So I'm recording this from the wilds of having no internet. And let me tell you guys, my internet went out on December 26th,

right after I hosted Christmas movies and everything, went out December 26th. This is both

the best and worst timing for the internet to go out I've ever had. I've previously talked about this.

When the internet goes out, I consider it kind of an adult snow day.

But the timing of that one is suspicious even to me.

And also, this is a place where it's hard to get people to do things.

Like, it's really hard to get people to do things even if it's their job.

And we all know that, and we all cut each other slack, which makes it harder to get people to do things.

It's, I would say a vicious cycle, but the cycle, it's a little too toothless to be vicious.

It's a cycle, though.
