0:42.0	Well, in the 60s I was here. friends and compatriots, how did you meet?
0:42.6	Well, in the 60s, I was here at the National Institutes of Health, essentially escaping
0:47.9	the Vietnam War because all doctors got drafted.
0:50.5	I knew a doctor with a heart attack who got drafted.
0:53.0	So I didn't want to go to Vietnam.
0:55.0	So I had done a lot of research in medical school.
0:57.0	So I was able to get into NIH, the Public Health Service, and that counted,
1:02.0	I didn't have to go to Vietnam.
