Okay, well that's the end of the England-Panama game. I said 5-0 yesterday. I was right at half-time,

just wrong, at the end of the game. But a lovely performance from England against a Panama side

who, it seemed, by the reaction of the crowd, were very pleased to get their first ever World Cup goal.

So that was a nice moment also. First, Alex, I want to ask

you about Gareth Southgate. We've just, we waited to record this until after we watched his

interview and some of the interviews of the players as well. And I want to ask you about Gareth

Southgate and his sort of ability as a manager, because as it stands, he looks to be doing a very impressive job.

However, his role, certainly from the English media, is going to be under inspection, under the

microscope, much more so than any other, and certainly in a more constrained time period

than across the Premier League season. So it's quite difficult, in a way, I suppose, to appraise

how he's doing. He seemed very calm in that interview there.

He, you know, sort of half-jokingly suggested that he wasn't very happy at the beginning

or at the end of the game, but happy with what happened in the middle.

How do you appraise his job so far?

And is there anything in particular that you like that you've seen from him?

I like everything that I've seen from him, really.

So I think there are various aspects to look at when you're going into a World Cup.

The first thing is the squad selection.

I think England have got depth across all the positions in that squad.
