Next, we launched out on a course of vigorous action, the first step of which is a personal

house cleaning, which many of us had never attempted.

Though our decision was a vital and crucial

step, it could have little permanent effect unless at once followed by a strenuous effort to face

and to be rid of the things in ourselves which had been blocking us. Our liquor was but a symptom,

so we had to get down to causes and conditions.

So our third step decision, okay, to turn your will and life over to God.

I think in the beginning it's not unreasonable to look at this as,

I'll make a decision to be helpful if you don't believe in God.

Sometimes the step looks too big on the wall.

In the book, there's a process to it.

And if you can make it as easy as possible, I'd suggest I saw it through the experience.

I saw that that's what was happening.

I didn't think of myself as turning my will and life over to God.

But when I look back on it, I could see that literally that's what was happening as I was doing some of the things that I was doing. You know, what Rick is talking about here is that there is no excuse to not do this. Yeah. That can be an excuse. Well, I don't believe in God. That can be an excuse to not want to do this step. There no excuse to not do this this is it alcoholics

anonymous is a program of action this is take some action do some stuff see what happens that's all

we're talking we want to make this reasonable why because it is reasonable it isn't that hard
