i'm sure glad to be here this morning. I'm nervous.

I guess that to be expected, you know.

What I'm going to do on is acceptance.

And it's the biggest part of the first step.

It's the beginning of being in control of my own life. I can have that control that control today if I choose to work at putting the step one into practice. That was hard for me. At first, I was a controller. I wanted to fix everybody. Through this

program, I learned that that wasn't the way. I'll tell you a little bit about my past at the beginning,

how I got involved in now and on. I started out you a little bit about my past at the beginning, how I got involved in now and on.

I started out as a child living in the home of an alcoholic father, and I have three sisters that are alcoholics.

I have one that died of alcoholism, a terrible way her liver went

bad and she got serosed of the liver. It was very bad. She was a great person and I miss

her. She died of 36 years old and buried her and it hurt a lot. It was only 13 years old because she was one i could talk to i

thought you know and she was a lot older than i was because she died at 36 and i was 13 so you see

this span of years that my father uh had he was married three times.

He outlived them all.

He outlived all the kids, but the last three that are loving now.

Now through the acceptance that I know through Al-Anon,

I don't have to carry all that guilt and all that,

that I wasn't a good person.

That's why I was treated the way I was by my father.
