My name's Ed. I'm an alcoholic. I'm delighted to be here now that you've seen I have two suits. I'll take the coat off.

Actually I was thinking dinner was right after this and I was in a rush. I put on the wrong belt too to make me feel real uncomfortable.

But I'm delighted to be here. Let's just take a minute and understand what the whole idea of forgiveness is about.

I don't know about you but I had it goofed up for a long time. I thought it had to do something with them.

And forgiveness has everything to do to me. You think we know that because we're so self-obsessment.

Because you see resentment gives me a sense of power.

If I can hate you at least I can do something.

And it's a sickness that really entered every area of my life.

Before I got to alcoholic synonymous and I'm not pleased to tell you for a long time afterwards.

Why? Because I never did a thing about it.

Well I'm not drinking. Isn't that good enough?

Nope.

Not if you want to be happy, joyous and free. You know, while back it seemed to me that I kind of look at the 12 steps as we're all temples or houses if you will.

And we're all temples and the first step is you got to admit there's trouble in the temple.

Second step is trouble in the temple and I can't fix it.

And when I fix it it gets crazy in the temple.

Third step is I need the outside contractor.

You're called in the outside contractor and he comes in said or it comes in whatever your outside contractor is and says good news.
