to you um are you working from home still one of the things i've noticed about the one of the many things i've noticed about the, one of the many things I've noticed, about the lockdown, about the pandemic, about the coverage of it and indeed the conversations.

And I guess our time together every morning involves both coverage and conversations is how, I mean, almost unprecedentedly disparate everything is.

I can talk about my experiences, but they will bear very little relationship to yours.

I wonder whether two people in the entire country have had close to identical experiences.

Parents will know that children going through the homeschooling, the auto learning or whatever it's called,

you can have completely different reactions to that under the same roof.

One of your children may actually be flourishing from elements of the lockdown rules.

A lot of kids back at school now, a lot of homeschooling, of course, kicking back in as a result

of children being sent home from school after positive tests. Other children in precisely the same situation respond

to it horribly. There is no objective algorithm for educational choices. And I think the same is true

of work. And the people I don't know, oddly, apart from if you're listening, and we kind of know

each other, are the people who've been on furlough for forever. The people who have literally

been not required to turn up for work while still drawing a salary. I wondered at the very

outset whether or not that would change the national attitude towards state

support for people who need it. You know, since Rupert Murdoch bought the son, in 1969, there's

been a gradual demonisation of decency so that if you have paid taxes all your life, or even

if your dad has paid taxes, or your mum has paid taxes all their life, or even if your dad has paid taxes or your
