1:27.3

This is something that I have been working on over the last long time.

1:32.3

I started working out August 3rd after like three years of wanting to do it, but not committing and just like not prioritizing it, not taking it seriously, starting and stopping and starting again, making up excuses, saying it really wasn't that bad.

1:49.3

And like it was, it totally was. And so I wanted to share some of the strategies that I've used over the last six or seven months to just highlight maybe some areas that you can improve upon.

2:00.3

Maybe some strategies you haven't thought of before. So this all started around 2019. I started feeling like I was ready to work out.

2:10.3

I had gone through a bunch of like chronic issues, including having a needing disorder, includes including like totally ruining my body by having needing disorder and working out too much.

2:20.3

I was doing CrossFit. I was running. I was doing triathlons. I was mess and I wore my body and it took me a really, really long time to recuperate. And by 2019, 2020, I was in a pretty good place.

3:09.3

And just watching my mom go through this process and just understanding that upon deterioration of your body, kind of like some of these things are too late.

3:23.3

Like, yeah, you can stop the muscle from deteriorating further, but you don't really have a lot of muscle to begin with. And just started evaluating my own life, you know, if I were to get hit by something, I knew that I wasn't strong enough to maybe be able to handle those sorts of things.

3:39.3

And so just watching my mom's struggle really encouraged me to kind of take a inventory of where I was at and though I did feel like my diet was super dialed in and has been for a bunch of years and I feel really good about it.

3:54.3

And I have a really good relationship to food now. I was also really cognizant of making sure that through starting working out, I wasn't triggered in any of my old patterns.
