We were going to talk some Kyrie here, and we still will in a second because he said something very interesting in a live stream recently that hasn't been talked about a ton, and maybe we're overblowing exactly what he was saying there.

The late breaking news from The Mavericks is that Anthony Davis underwent a procedure to repair a detached retina that he suffered

during the season.

He is expected to be fully healthy in time for training camp, but that has got to be one of the

most painful cringe injuries that you hear about.

And I feel like it's not the most common injury, but you'll see one or two of these a year at almost every sport.

It seems like the detached retina where in my mind I'm just picturing the eyeball hanging out of the socket.

Yeah.

Just like down on your cheek.

By the little spaghetti noodle.

Yeah.

Yeah, no, that's definitely what you hear.

But for the most part, you know, people can heal from them just fine.

It just sounds terrible.

But then you go read more about Anthony Davis and you read that he's had eye problems in the past.

And I was reading about the fact that he's had recurring issues with corneal abrasions as another one.

Anything involving the eye, I'm automatically going to be a little bit squeamish because it just, it sounds worse than it probably is.

But apparently, yeah, he's, he's been dealing with eye problems since he was in high school.

Like, apparently he wore goggles in high school because he would get poked in the eye like he's on the three stooges.

But, you know, you don't want to look like a nerd in the NBA, even though you haven't cut your unibrow.

And he wears those sleeves, too.
