the Vikings weren't able to do. They raided and pillaged the wealthiest places in Europe,

The Vikings established immense trade networks, stretching across Europe from Baghdad to the British Isles.

They settled an island and the Atlantic Ocean called Iceland

and created rich oral traditions involving gods like Thor and Odin,

and characters that one may assume were real people,

like the poet Agilskal Grimson and the Norse
