It's so great to be with you today.

I really appreciate this time for us to have a discussion about the support that our moms need in their journey through pregnancy and postpartum.

So, so true. Okay, let's start off by giving our listeners a rundown about

who you are, what you do, what kind of brought you here. Oh, wow.

Well, as you said before, I've been a nurse for now over 37 years. I'm currently the training manager for an organization to really teach the staff that work with us,

M.H.N, teach the staff of an ACO

how to care for the patients that they serve. So I'm responsible for the training and

orientation as the senior manager and we really have a great time helping them to not only remember why they came into, you know, the health care, but how to work with patients and teach them the self-management skills that they need to be

able to navigate the system that we have here in our country, even in their local setting, and how to advocate for themselves. And so it is training the trainer is what we consider our program to be as we train a

licensed as well as a licensed health care providers to be in this space.

And you said, advocate for yourself and that is something we're very big on here at

Privy Alliance is for teaching our moms to speak up.

And in your experience do you see specialty on pregnancy and postpartum that

mom struggle to navigate this and to say, you know what, this is not right or I can't find this I need help.

Yes I have seen that over the years I know early in my career I worked in labor and delivery, then I worked in the community
