A woman has been arrested in the 14-year-old cold case of an infant found dead in Minnesota

floating down the Mississippi River.

Jennifer Nicole Beckley was charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter

and the death of a newborn girl investigators dubbed Baby Angel.

The baby was found floating inside a bag on the Mississippi River on September 5th, 2011.

Also inside the bag, a pendant, incense, and several angel figurines. An autopsy showed she was born a day or two before she died and had a four-inch section of her umbilical cord still attached. She also had several fractures on the front inside of her skull and bleeding on the brain. More than a decade after the baby was found, investigators used genetic genealogy and identified Beckley as a possible lead. She

refused to turn over a DNA sample, so investigators used a, quote, discarded female hygiene

product to test her DNA, confirming Baby Angel could be her daughter. If convicted, she could
