Welcome to the Wolf's and She podcast. I'm Roberta Glass. And today I'm going to be talking about Jean-Beney Ramsey and America's Fantasy World.

Now, Jean-Beney Ramsey was a six-year-old girl who was murdered December 25th, the night of

December 25th, sometimes it's late December 25th morning of December 26th, 1996.

And it has captured the world's imagination for years as to who murdered Jean-Beney.

Jean-Beney Ramsey was first identified as a missing person by her parents.

The mother, Patsy Ramsey, called 911 and said there's been a kidnapping.

My daughter, Jean-Beney Ramsey, is missing.

And a detective, Linda Arndt, came over, and she looked at the note that this extremely long ransom note that was left on the back stairs.

And they waited.

And as they waited, she said, let's search the house and she turned to

the father john ramsay and said let's search the house can you search the house and he uh she said

search it from top to bottom and instead he searched it from bottom to top. He went to the

basement where she was found with a rope around her neck, and she was dead. And her father brought her

up in his arms, placed her on the living room floor,

and asked for a blanket to cover her.

Now, there's an interesting psychology with murderers who cover their victims up.

It's often thought that if a body is found covered, it shows regret,

intimacy with the victim. And in this case, we can't say that John Ramsey was the murderer,

so we don't know. But I always found that an
