The director of the first two Harry Potter films, Chris Columbus, has come forward and addressed the whole J.K. Rowling turf situation.

And of course, he joins the list of many others who say they disagree with J.K. Rowling's political views on the topic.

But J.K. Rowling responded to him, and she ate him up by fear. Let's talk about it. Yeah, you better. Yeah, you better. Yeah, you better. Yeah, you better. Guys, before we get into today's video, please like and subscribe. Yes, again, we're talking about J.K. Rowling. We can't run from this. She keeps being brought up. She keeps making headlines because she believes that women are women and men are men and that maybe we should protect women's

faces, rights and privacy. I don't know. Crazy, crazy, crazy idea. Maybe we don't put biological

men in female prisons, but we've never, I guess, thought of that one. Now, as I said before,

the director of the first two films, Chris Columbus, has come forward and addressed this whole

situation. Now, Chris Columbus is pretty prolific within the whole Hollywood sphere. He's directed at home alone. Mrs. Doubtfire, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Lightning Thief. The list goes on and on of all the different projects that he's worked on. Now, he was recently in an interview where I guess he was prompted with this discussion by being asked whether or not a new film of the Harry Potter series could

be created with the original cast. Now, this is what he had to say. He said, quote,

everyone in the cast has their own opinion, which is different from J.K. Rowling's opinion,

which makes it impossible. He also goes on to say, I like to sometimes separate the artist from the

art. That's important to do. It's unfortunate what's happened. I certainly don't agree with what she's talking about. It's very sad. Sad is a very interesting way to describe standing up for women's rights. But I digress. It's kind of crazy. It's kind of crazy. But again, he joins a list of other people who have worked alongside J.K. Rowling,

who are now denouncing her based off of her views on this entire trans issue. Daniel Ratcliffe,

who of course plays Harry Potter in these films, has come out and spoken against J.K.

Rowling on many occasions. He also works with several LGBTQ plus organizations, most notably

the Trevor Project. He talks about protecting

trans children, allowing minors to transition. He's definitely on the more extreme end of the response

to J.K. Rowling. Emma Watson has also spoken out against J.K. Rowling, who plays Ron Weasley in

the movies, has come out and said J.K. Rowling is like an auntie that you disagree with

politically. So he's on the softer side, I guess, of the criticism towards her. Ivana Lynch, who's responsible for playing Luna Lovegood in the series, came out initially and criticized J.K. Rowling, saying she didn't believe J.K. Rowling's stance that women were a super marginalized slash vulnerable part of our society, a minority class. Then she came forward and said she was too naive in her initial statement and she asked that people give

J.K. Raleigh, Grace. So there you have it. Everybody has something to say about J.K.

And luckily, she's a writer and she has something to say back. I'm going to read you her statement
