here at Word on Fire. Bishop Baron is just wrapping up one of the most intense periods

of travel I think he's probably ever had. After going from Los Angeles to Ireland and

then back to Los Angeles, he recently just visited England and Scotland and then came

to Washington DC for some USCCB meetings and then finally made his way back to the Santa

Barbara region. So he's taken the next couple of weeks off for some recuperation and to

focus on regional ministry there in Santa Barbara, but we'll have him back soon for another

great interview episode here on the Word on Fire show. In the meantime, for the next couple

of weeks, we're going to share Bishop Baron's talk from the 2018 World Meeting of Families,

which was recently held in Dublin, Ireland. The whole conference centered around Amoris

Leittitia, the document Pope Francis recently released on the family. And Bishop Baron

was especially asked to focus on chapter 7, 8 and 9. That's the piece of the document

that his talk concerns. This episode, we're going to play the first half of Bishop Baron's

You know, I'm Irish by Heritage, both sides of my family. My father's family is from

Waterford. And my mother's family is from right here in Dublin. My grandfather, whom I

never knew, he died 10 years before I was born, but he was carried away from Dublin in

the arms of his sister. His parents had died and his sister's sister's carried him out

of the immigrant ship to come to America. So even though I never knew him, whenever I

come to Dublin, I think very much of my grandfather. But my roots are all here culturally in this
