Several years ago, we had the privilege of conducting a gospel crusade in a part of the world that is

filled with idols. I mean, everywhere I went, there were idols on houses and buildings and selling idols

in the marketplace. And it was so oppressive to see so much false religion. It was sad and

heartbreaking. But I must tell you, one of the great shocks for me was returning home, coming back to

our own beloved land and realizing that we are also a nation of idols. Because though we may not sell

them in the marketplace, and we may not put them on the side

of our house, an idol is anything that takes the place only the Lord is worthy of. We've been looking at

all of the woes in Habakkuk chapter number two. We've come to the fifth and final one because

I think it is the worst. It's the culmination of all.

Woe to greed, woe to desire, woe to violence, woe to strong drink, and now woe to idolatry.

Abak chapter 2, verses 18, 19, and 20 say,
