You don't want it, you don't need it, but you're going to get it anyway.

A hundred percent the right decision by Ron Rivera there to go for the fourth end of the game. There was

some debate about should they kick the field goal to go up seven? No. That was a no brainer.

That was who cares if we miss? There's no chance they're going 99 yards down four with 29 seconds and no timeouts.

In fact, I don't even think they would have gotten into position from their own one-yard line

to throw a Hail Mary. You kick the field goal and they start at the 25 with 29 seconds left.

That's a big difference. Now the chances that they will get at least to midfield for a chance at a Hail Mary are much higher.

And then maybe even more than just a Hail Mary.

Terrific decision, smart decision by Ron Rivera.

They sealed it on that one.

And then I've got to give him credit too, because I think maybe,

you know, maybe a quarter of the coaches in the league, I don't know, maybe a third of the

coaches in the league would have known that the right play was to not attempt the point

after touchdown after the Gibson fourth and goal touchdown run. The reason that you don't attempt a PAT,

and kudos to Ron and his staff for understanding this,

because again, I don't think many coaches would have done this.

I think most coaches would have sent their kicker out there,

kicked the PAT, 30 to 19, boom, game over.

They wouldn't have thought about the ramifications of a blocked kick that got returned

for a two-point conversion to make it 29-21.
