Amen. How are we doing, church? Doing okay? You look great. If you got your Bibles, I hope you do, grab them.

We're going to be in Colossians chapter 3 as we walk through, continue to walk through this study of the book of

Colossians. We are in the second part called Before All Things in our hearts. What does it look like for Jesus to be before all things in our hearts?

And so the way I teach and preach, and really all of the

pastors here, the way we preach, is we just go through the scriptures, line by line, sometimes

just word by word. And that type of preaching is called expository. And basically it just means

this. It means that my job is to expose you to the Word of God. So read a verse,

this is what I think it means. Read a verse. This is what I think it means. Oh, that reminds me of a

story to illustrate what we've just read about. That's what I do. And that's why it takes us seven weeks

to get through two chapters of the book of Colossians. That's fine. Now, so my job is to expose you to the Word of God.

It's the Holy Spirit's job to expose the Word of God to you.

I can't do that.

If you've ever learned anything here, you've learned it from the true preacher here at 1122,

who is the Holy Spirit.

Only he can teach you, only he can open you up to what

God has to say to you and so this is what we do we continuously just go through God's word

and trust that the Word of God does what it promises it's going to do it will never return void or

in vain and that the Holy Spirit with the authority

of the Word of God will do in your heart what only He can do. Now last week, I kind of picked on every

denomination. I really did. If you weren't offended, then come see me and I'll offend you personally.

But one of the denominations we picked on the most were Catholics, and so in order to make our Catholics really feel at home today, would everybody please stand for the reading of God's Word?

So you just stood, now you're sitting, now you stand up again, right?
