Go to Colossians.

Chapter 2, we find ourselves about halfway through this two-year discipleship journey

where we as a church, a whole bunch of individuals, ask,

what does it look like to put Jesus before all things?

And so in order for us to do that, we're studying the book of Colossians.

And the first section kind of starts out to say, what does it look like for him to be before all things in his church?

And now we're talking about what does it look like for Jesus to be before all things in our hearts. Next, we'll talk about

what does it look like for Jesus to be before all things in your day-to-day life, at home,

in your marriage, as a parent, and at work. And then we'll wrap the whole book of

Colossians up with Before All Things in my ministry and mission. And so the first section of

this was Before All Things in this church, and you'll remember that we rolled out our vision for 2017. And a part of what God is calling us to do as a church and declaring that he is before all things is what Jesus commanded. He said the greatest commandment is this. The first commandment is this. Love the Lord dear God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. And then the second

one is like it to love your neighbor as yourself. And a part of the way that we loved our neighbors

started this weekend. And on Friday night, we co-hosted with the Tim Tebow Foundation and about

eight other churches. We co-hosted Night to Shine, which was a prom for people with special needs.
